John Gnesin, Consultant John Gnesin joined the ICA team in September 2007 after an extended stint in the music industry, during which he worked in a multitude of capacities, including head of customer relations, festival promotions coordinator, warehouse manager, and catalog buyer and editor for a prominent independent record label/distributor in the Philadelphia area. John has a history, as well as a pedigree in the risk management field, being the son of Joseph Gnesin, the president of GCG Risk Management in New York, a firm which specialized in workers’ compensation and disability issues, and for which he worked on and off over several years. Since arriving at ICA, John has provided executive assistance to two of the firm’s Associates in marketing, claims review and policy audits for several of ICA’s larger clients in the real estate and entertainment industries along with providing tactical support to consultants advising a variety of clients ranging from museums to restaurant chains, colleges and shopping centers. As he has gained experience in the firm, and with the support of senior staff, he has spearheaded marketing efforts for small-to-midsize clients in the fields of residential and commercial property management, publishing, and online auctions. Having graduated from the Gallatin School at New York University in 2001, John is now furthering his professional development by working towards his CPCU and ARM designations.
